Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career at our service based in Gloucester. The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load and will be instrumental in developing and implementing service improvements for the betterment of Patients in Gloucester and surrounding areas. The role will present exciting opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skillsets, and the successful candidate will be supported with local, regional, and national training to support their professional development within the service. The role includes both independent working and working in clinic alongside the Clinical Lead a few times per month.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service
  • Working closely with MDT’s
  • Inputting and leading on initiatives within the service development plan
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needs
  • Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practices
  • Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment process
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as required
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Demonstrated experience of complex casework in adult and paediatric care
  • Self-starter with a flexible and pro-active approach
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through effective verbal and written communication
  • Certified Orthotist OR HND Orthotics OR BSc Orthotics
  • Full HCPC Registration
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
