Job Description

This APP will support Surgical Sports physicians and function as an integrated member of the Orthopedic Surgical care team, delivering care across operative, perioperative, and clinic environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Surgical first assist
  • Call coverage
  • Office clinic coverage
  • Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries
  • Support perioperative patient management and surgical coordination
  • Perform procedures within scope including splinting, bracing, casting, injections/aspirations, and wound care
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and collaborate on treatment planning

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible to practice in North Carolina as Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult-Gerontology ACNP or equivalent acute care certification required)
  • Graduate from an accredited PA or Acute Care NP program
  • National board certification required
  • DEA license required or eligible
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority through appropriate NC governing board
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration greater than 90 days from start date
