About the Role ASC Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Location: North Carolina Organization Type: Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center Position Overview The ASC Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical provides direct patient care for outpatient surgical procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. This role works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to support patients through pre-operative, perioperative, and post-anesthesia recovery phases while ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibility:
Provide nursing care across pre-operative, intraoperative, and PACU phases for outpatient surgical patients
Assist surgeons during procedures and support anesthesia care as needed
Conduct telephone-based pre-admission assessments and patient education
Monitor and assess patients during recovery to ensure safe discharge readiness
Support room turnover and daily clinical operations to maintain efficient surgical flow
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary clinical staff
Maintain compliance with safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact-state eligibility
Minimum of one year of surgical nursing experience (ASC or hospital-based), including perioperative, OR, PACU, trauma, ER, or similar settings
