Job Description

The IT OCM is responsible for shaping and executing communication and change management strategies that support the successful delivery of enterprise IT initiatives. This role serves as the central coordination point for IT communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and strong alignment across projects, operations, and leadership priorities. This individual will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive adoption, improve end-user readiness, and elevate how IT communicates across the broader organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute organizational change management strategies, including stakeholder analysis and impact assessments
  • Build and maintain change roadmaps aligned with enterprise IT initiatives and delivery timelines
  • Create and distribute communications related to system changes, outages, updates, and key initiatives
  • Manage IT communication channels such as newsletters, intranet content, and organizational announcements
  • Partner with project and program teams to align communication strategies with implementation milestones
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor on communication planning and execution
  • Define and implement communication standards, frameworks, and governance processes
  • Track adoption and engagement metrics, continuously improving communication effectiveness
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to enhance overall messaging and alignment across business units
  • Support training initiatives, including end-user training sessions and development of user documentation (job aids, guides, online help)
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies throughout the change lifecycle to ensure end-user readiness
  • Provide clear reporting to both technical and non-technical audiences on progress, adoption, and outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT communications, organizational change management, or a related function
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and influence across multiple teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and clarity
  • Experience supporting complex initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination and user adoption
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination skills
  • Familiarity with ITIL and/or formal change management frameworks
  • Certifications such as Prosci, PMP, or Agile
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT transformations requiring behavioral change and adoption
