Job Description:

Search is no longer one channel — it's the entire discovery layer of the internet. At Rise at Seven, we built our agency around that belief before it became conventional wisdom, and the industry is catching up fast. We turn clients into category leaders by meeting audiences wherever they search — across onsite, e-commerce, SERPs, social search, AI and LLMs, and dark search channels like Reddit. Our strategies don't just chase rankings; they build demand, shape perception, and drive discoverability at scale. As an organic SEO & content strategist, you'll be the strategic engine behind a portfolio of ambitious clients — translating search data, consumer behaviour, and creative thinking into organic content plans that drive growth (through onsite, media and social). This isn't a role for someone who optimises in isolation. You'll connect technical rigour with content strategy, work cross-functionally with PR, paid, and creative teams, and communicate results in a way that earns client trust and drives commercial decisions. You bring an obsessive understanding of the consumer, strong commercial instincts, and a genuine excitement about what search is becoming.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead SEO strategy across a portfolio of clients, spanning e-commerce, B2B, enterprise and start ups
  • Develop content strategies grounded in search intent, competitive analysis, and editorial opportunities
  • Build and present strategic roadmaps, monthly performance reports, and QBRs with clear commercial narrative
  • Collaborate with digital PR, content, and paid teams to build integrated search campaigns
  • Identify upsell and growth opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Stay ahead of algorithm updates, AI search developments, and emerging SERP features
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years in an SEO role, ideally agency-side
  • Proven experience across technical, content, and strategy disciplines
  • Past experience collaborating with digital PR and/or social teams on campaigns
  • Strong command of industry tools, including Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, Looker Studio
  • A track record of driving measurable organic growth
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can present to a CMO, and are able to simplify complex data into compelling, client-ready stories
  • A real point of view on AI search — and examples of how you're already factoring in LLMs, AI Overviews, and the evolving SERP landscape
  • Commercial awareness — an ability to spot growth opportunities, upsells, and deliver ROI
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and hit deadlines across multiple accounts

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency with technical SEO audits — crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data etc.
  • Examples of how you’ve used AI to create efficiencies in your SEO and strategic workflows
  • Experience across agency new business, including creating responses to briefs and presenting proposals to potential clients
What we offer:
  • Generous holiday allowance + public holidays
  • Holiday loyalty scheme
  • Work from anywhere for up to one month a year
  • Your birthday off
  • Christmas and New Year office shutdown
  • Access to private medical
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • Bucket list scheme — one life experience on us
