This position will help to support all areas of work on the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The goal will be to introduce the participants to areas like developed recreation, OHV, trails, Interpretation, and wildlife. Participants will join our crews in very laborious work out on the dunes as well as work to engage the public in education. This goal of this position is to provide an overview of what careers are possible in the Forest Service.
Job Responsibility
Support all areas of work on the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area
introduce participants to areas like developed recreation, OHV, trails, Interpretation, and wildlife
join crews in laborious work out on the dunes
engage the public in education
assist the Wildlife Bio in repairing snowy plover closures, doing surveys for certain species, and educating the public about threatened species
help at events to set up a table and educate people

this SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States.
