Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Order Management Specialist for a growing distribution company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong SAP and Excel skills who thrives in a fast-paced operations environment. The Order Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the full order lifecycle, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while coordinating with internal departments to support timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and process customer orders from entry through fulfillment
  • Utilize SAP to track orders, inventory, pricing, and customer information
  • Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and order tracking documentation using Microsoft Excel
  • Review and verify order accuracy, pricing, product availability, and shipping details
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Communicate order updates, delays, and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies and customer issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
  • Assist with inventory reporting and operational support as needed
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in order management, order processing, logistics, or supply chain operations required
  • Strong SAP experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Experience working within a distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment preferred
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Monitor order backlogs daily across all fulfillment nodes, identify bottlenecks in real-time, and escalate proactively to internal teams and external partners to drive resolution
