Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Order Management Specialist for a growing distribution company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong SAP and Excel skills who thrives in a fast-paced operations environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and process customer orders from entry through fulfillment
  • Utilize SAP to track orders, inventory, pricing, and customer information
  • Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and order tracking documentation using Microsoft Excel
  • Review and verify order accuracy, pricing, product availability, and shipping details
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Communicate order updates, delays, and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies and customer issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
  • Assist with inventory reporting and operational support as needed
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in order management, order processing, logistics, or supply chain operations required
  • Strong SAP experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Experience working within a distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment preferred
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensure all related orders are built in our systems / ERP for appropriate booking and invoicing
  • Execute the defined order process and conduct effective interaction with Sales teams, while maintaining compliance with corporate policy
  • Generate customer invoices for assigned accounts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Recognize the requirements for any special invoicing provisions in the customer contract and react accordingly
