We are looking for an Order Entry Clerk to join a manufacturing team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role supports daily order flow by entering purchase orders, maintaining inventory records, and helping ensure shipments move accurately and on schedule from warehouse operations to customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-moving environment, communicates clearly, and takes a proactive approach to supporting both internal teams and customer needs.
Job Responsibility
Process incoming purchase orders from customer portals and enter order details accurately into the company’s order management system
Maintain organized order documentation and keep records current to support efficient processing and fulfillment activities
Update inventory data in spreadsheets and help monitor stock information to support order accuracy
Track outgoing shipments across truckload, LTL, and small parcel channels and share status updates as needed
Assist with capturing and maintaining sales-related information connected to daily order activity
Respond to customer and internal inquiries with timely, clear communication regarding orders and shipment status
Work closely with the order processing team to help keep workflow moving smoothly and complete additional operational tasks as assigned
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in order entry, order processing, or a related administrative support role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel
Ability to manage a high-volume workload with accuracy, urgency, and close attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and systems quickly
Experience working with order management, ERP, CRM, or related business software is preferred
