We are looking for a detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Newark, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate order processing and shipping documentation while supporting smooth operations within a manufacturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your data entry and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
Job Responsibility:
Create and verify shipping documents in compliance with company policies and customer specifications
Match purchase orders with shipping records to confirm accurate invoicing and fulfillment
Collaborate with shipping personnel to ensure orders are packaged and dispatched promptly
Process credit card payments securely and maintain accurate transaction records
Input and maintain up-to-date shipping data in the company's systems
Assist in maintaining organized records of shipping and order activities
Support team operations by completing additional tasks as required
Uphold high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all order entry tasks
Requirements:
Proficiency in data entry, including numeric and alphanumeric inputs
Familiarity with shipping documentation and procedures
Ability to work with computer systems and perform accurate data entry
Strong typing skills with attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Previous experience in a manufacturing or shipping environment is preferred
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work setting
