Job Description

The Order Desk Executive plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and client retention by delivering accurate, timely, and competitive quotations and order solutions. Acting as a key link between customers, Account Managers, and operational teams, the role is responsible for converting enquiries into orders, maximising sales opportunities, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the order lifecycle. The successful candidate will proactively support business development efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the achievement of company sales objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive quotations that support revenue growth and customer retention
  • Proactively follow up on quotations, enquiries, and outstanding opportunities to maximise conversion rates
  • Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and introduce additional products and services that add value to customers
  • Support Account Managers in developing existing accounts and securing new business opportunities
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through exceptional service and responsive communication
  • Manage customer orders from enquiry through to fulfilment, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience
  • Provide customers with timely updates on order status, lead times, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, pharmacy, and accounts teams to ensure efficient order execution and customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer queries and issues promptly, maintaining high levels of customer confidence and trust
  • Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and order information within company systems
  • Monitor quote-to-order conversion performance and support initiatives to improve sales effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence

  • Proven ability to prepare, manage, and follow up quotations to maximise conversion opportunities
  • Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships
  • Ability to identify upselling, cross-selling, and account growth opportunities
  • Understanding of sales processes, customer buying behaviours, and commercial decision-making
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage customer enquiries professionally and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service
  • Understanding of inventory, fulfilment, shipping, and customer order lifecycle processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or experience in a global manufacturing and or supply chain environment
  • GCSE / A Levels Math & English
