Job Description

An organisation undergoing a major business services transformation is seeking a Lead Product Owner – HCM. This role sits within a new centralised service function focused on streamlining HR, Finance, and Commercial services using modern, user-centric, end-to-end solutions. The role will play a key part in enabling transformation through Oracle Cloud and other related systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and deliver the product roadmap HCM systems
  • Lead a team of product analysts and SMEs to implement functional changes and enhancements
  • Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment and progress on product goals
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency across product teams
  • Use data and user feedback to prioritise improvements and drive better outcomes
  • Work closely with internal and external development teams to support solution delivery
  • Support operational teams with testing, change management, and adoption activities
  • Present business cases and proposals to senior leadership

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in HR/ HCM systems, ideally Oracle Cloud (HCM)
  • Strong background in product ownership or management within internal product environments
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and back-office transformation
  • Experience leading teams and delivering system enhancements
  • Understanding of project delivery, agile principles, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Public sector or shared services experience is advantageous
  • Solid understanding of finance processes and system integration
  • Practical experience with Oracle Cloud (or similar SaaS platforms)
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle, change management, and testing
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, efficient system solutions
