We are looking for an experienced Manager, Oracle Financials Systems to oversee and support Oracle R12 systems in a dynamic financial services environment. This long-term contract position requires a blend of functional expertise and technical skills to manage production support, enhance processes, and lead a distributed team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong accounting background and a passion for driving system improvements while preparing for future transitions to Oracle Cloud/Fusion.
Job Responsibility:
Lead daily production support for Oracle R12 modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Tax, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues
Manage ticket prioritization and resolution processes, supporting financial operations such as period close, journal processing, and multi-entity accounting
Perform hands-on configuration tasks for Oracle R12 modules, including GL, AR, and Tax, to meet evolving business requirements
Conduct impact analysis, coordinate testing efforts, and deploy system changes while maintaining system stability
Support data integrations and provide functional guidance to finance teams, leveraging tools like Oracle interface tables
Mentor and manage onshore and offshore support teams, fostering accountability and consistent service delivery
Strengthen governance processes for system support, promote documentation standards, and implement effective change management practices
Partner with finance leadership to translate business needs into system solutions and identify areas for process improvement
Provide input and analysis for the transition from Oracle R12 to Oracle Cloud/Fusion, balancing production support with project initiatives
Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce recurring issues, and improve user experience
Requirements:
Proven experience with hands-on configuration in Oracle R12 modules, including GL, AR, and Tax
Strong foundation in accounting principles, including debits/credits, multi-entity accounting, and revaluation
Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot data
Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and manage workflows effectively
Expertise in requirements gathering, gap analysis, testing, training, and post-production support
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with executives and subject matter experts
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
Nice to have:
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of Oracle R12 lifecycle experience and exposure to Oracle Cloud/Fusion Financials
