Job Description:

The Engineer Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to budgetary requirement definition for assigned product area
Develop functional specifications and create project plans
Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering requirements
Ensure requirements from technology departments are communicated to stakeholders
Provide solutions in accordance with audit initiatives
Assist with training activities and mentor junior team members
Assess risk when business decisions are made
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Requirements:

5-8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Project Management experience
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership of various parts of a project
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Database support for critical database systems like Postgres, Mongo, Oracle
Caching database support for Redis and/or Couchbase
Monitor and address database alerts/issues, capacity constraints, and performance
Working experience on public cloud
Understanding & implementation of GenAI and relevant use cases
Good UNIX scripting and automation experience
Fully analyze performance issues, identify tuning opportunities and advise developers on SQL tuning
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
Follow-the-Sun 24*7 on call support model
Knowledge of database installation/configuration best practices and Database upgrade/migration approaches
Strong knowledge of database internals/views to help troubleshoot issues
Strong knowledge of various Database high availability and Disaster recovery solutions

Nice to have:

Knowledge of automation tools like ANSIBLE and automation scripting/fixing
Working experience in multiple technologies like Mongo and Caching databases (Redis and Couchbase)
