Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in Oracle Database administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of large-scale databases, supporting mission-critical systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization of Oracle databases
  • Execute version upgrades, patching, and schema changes
  • Manage data migrations across environments and ensure data consistency
  • Work with large datasets (terabytes of data) and optimize for high availability and scalability
  • Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are in place and reliable
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business requirements
  • Automate routine database administration tasks where possible

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Oracle Database administration (installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting)
  • Solid knowledge of backup and recovery, replication, and disaster recovery planning
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora)
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation

Nice to have

  • Exposure to database monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Strong understanding of database performance optimization and query tuning
  • Experience managing large-scale databases with high transaction volumes

  • Performs the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS), including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or others, as required
  • Collaborates with software developers/architects to design and optimize database schemas, data models, and database-related applications
  • Assists with the mapping out of the conceptual design for a planned database
  • Participates in the writing of database documentation, including data standards, data flow diagrams, standard operating procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
  • Monitors database performance, identifies performance bottlenecks, and optimizes queries and indexing for optimal database performance
