Job Description:

Intermediate level position responsible for engineering activities including design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure. Ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to budgetary requirement definition for assigned product area
Develop functional specifications and create project plans
Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering requirements
Ensure requirements from technology departments are communicated to stakeholders
Provide solutions in accordance with audit initiatives
Assist with training activities and mentor junior team members
Assess risk when business decisions are made
Database support for critical database systems
Monitor and address database alerts/issues
Interact and communicate with application developers and support teams
Plan and implement complex changes
Develop and implement processes

Requirements:

5-8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Project Management experience
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership of various parts of a project
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Database support for critical database systems like Postgres, Mongo, Oracle
Caching database support for Redis and/or Couchbase
Monitor and address database alerts/issues, capacity constraints, and performance
Working experience on public cloud
Understanding & implementation of GenAI and relevant use cases
Good UNIX scripting and automation experience
Knowledge of automation tools like ANSIBLE
Fully analyze performance issues, identify tuning opportunities
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Follow-the-Sun 24*7 on call support
Knowledge of database installation/configuration best practices
Strong knowledge of database internals/views
Strong knowledge of various Database high availability and Disaster recovery solutions
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Knowledge of automation tools like ANSIBLE and automation scripting/fixing
Working experience in multiple technologies like Mongo and Caching databases (Redis and Couchbase)
