Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle DBA with deep expertise in performance tuning, RAC environments, and large-scale enterprise database management. The ideal candidate will support mission-critical Oracle environments including Exadata systems and high-availability architectures. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, infrastructure knowledge, and hands-on operational support experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-level DBA operational support with strong customer service
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams (servers, network, storage)
  • Work closely with lead DBA and Oracle teams on database issues
  • Ensure software consistency across Oracle landscape
  • Participate in IT Change Management processes
  • Validate and approve Oracle database changes
  • Interface directly with Oracle Support as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible Oracle DBA experience
  • Extensive performance tuning experience with complex issue analysis
  • Strong understanding of: SQL Patches
  • SQL Plan Management
  • Optimizer behavior
  • Oracle parameters
  • Cloud Environments
  • Oracle RAC installation, patching, and support (12c/19c)
  • Experience managing large databases (100+ TB) in RAC environments
  • Oracle Exadata implementation and performance management
  • RMAN backup and recovery
  • Data Guard configuration and support
  • Oracle Security features including TDE
  • Advanced use of Oracle performance tuning tools
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Ensuring databases are properly tuned and optimized
  • Linux shell scripting
  • Python and/or Perl scripting
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (preferred)
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Compute, Network, Storage
  • Security
  • High Availability / Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)
  • Oracle appliances (Exadata preferred)

  • Performs the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS), including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or others, as required
  • Collaborates with software developers/architects to design and optimize database schemas, data models, and database-related applications

  • Participates in the writing of database documentation, including data standards, data flow diagrams, standard operating procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
