Job Description:

The Optronics Systems Engineer’s primary focus is to drive the design and integration of optical, Electro-optical and Laser based sensors into the system design ensuring best practice and the highest safety standards are maintained. The Optronics Systems Engineer will be involved throughout the project life cycle from project definition to design implementation.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Eligible to obtain security clearance to SC level
  • Full current driving licence
  • Take the engineering lead for multidisciplinary projects requiring optical, Electro-Optical or Laser capabilities
  • Capture stakeholder requirements
  • Champion awareness of full product lifecycle in the product design phase
  • Identify and manage interfaces
  • Develop system and sub-system requirements
  • Evaluate and down-select system solutions
  • Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities
  • Technical content of bid and proposal preparation
  • Participating in customer meetings
  • Report generation
  • Verification and validation planning and testing
  • Lead the integration on products in development
