Job Description:

Your role will be similar to that of a hospital optometrist, undertaken in a community setting, in a modern clinic, working with state of the art technology. ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services that are delivered in the community. Working with state of the art technologies, we support the NHS, providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care. We provide a range of services including: Cataract, YAG Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics and General Ophthalmology.

Job Responsibility:

Undertaking pre and post-operative consultations for cataract surgery patients
Overseeing glaucoma care as part of a virtual ophthalmology led service
Providing clinical support to ophthalmologists in general and oculoplastic clinics

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
Keen to undertake higher qualifications in glaucoma
Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
Articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident and organised
Happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Nice to have:

Previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic setting
Higher level qualifications
