Job Responsibility:

  • Assist optometrists in delivering outstanding patient care, from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up
  • Perform diagnostic tests, gather patient medical histories, and assist in educating patients about their vision benefits
  • Guide patients in contact lens training, insurance verification, and scheduling their next visit
  • Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating appointments and managing office communications
  • Work closely with your team to meet individual and collective goals for optimal patient care and satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service (optometric experience preferred but not required!)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and connect with patients
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Team-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and a desire to learn new skills
  • Detail-focused and capable of documenting patient exams and procedures with accuracy
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules as needed and a proactive attitude toward team success

  • Review prescriptions and/or patient information carefully and identify special needs
