Our Essilor team in Heidelberg West is seeking an experienced Optical Mechanic or Optical Worker with a strong background in optical edging, fitting, quality control and tinting. With a clear focus on delivering the best possible experience to our customers, we are looking for a confident and dedicated individual who takes pride in producing quality products - first time, every time. Our team works efficiently and collaboratively to ensure high standards of workmanship, accuracy and customer satisfaction across every order.

Job Responsibility:

  • Marking up and blocking optical lenses
  • Edging of optical lenses
  • Fitting variety of lens types such as rimless, nylon, shell and metal frames
  • Tinting
  • Final quality checking of completed fitting jobs
  • Pre Quality Control and tracing a variety of frame types

Requirements:

  • Fine motor skills and ability to handle individual lenses carefully throughout the coating process
  • Highly organised with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail
