Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage a 110+ employee optical manufacturing team
  • Drive productivity, quality, turnaround time (TAT), and first-pass yield
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, ANSI, ISO, HIPAA, and safety regulations
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control
  • Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and asset planning
  • Develop and implement safety programs and inspection processes
  • Improve operational efficiency through data analysis and process improvements
  • Investigate and resolve production or member service issues
  • Lead training programs and staff development initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment (union/Labor Management Partnership experience preferred)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, STEM, or related field
  • AND 8+ years of optical lab or related manufacturing experience
  • OR 11+ years of relevant experience
  • 7+ years in a leadership role with direct reports
  • 5+ years in optical manufacturing, CAM, eyewear fabrication, or related manufacturing field
  • 1+ year managing operational or project budgets

Nice to have

  • American Board of Opticianry Certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Supply Chain or advanced manufacturing experience
  • Experience in union environments
