Job Description:

We are looking for an Optical Laboratory Technician, who will be responsible for supporting production and laboratory activities within a corporate optical store/laboratory. You will collaborate with senior laboratory staff to perform a range of technical tasks, including the preparation, assembly, and repair of eyeglasses. Your attention to detail, precision, and ability to work with state-of-the-art specialized tools and equipment will be essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Learn and then improve production specifications and work plans to ensure accuracy and quality of finished optical products
  • Master specific tools and equipment, such as lens cutting machines, to work on optical components
  • Visual inspections and measurements to verify the quality of lenses and assembled eyeglasses
  • Maintenance of the work environment in the optical laboratory, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly functioning and in case get repaired
  • Managing supplies of optical materials and components
  • Collaboration with senior laboratory staff to accurately perform activities related to the preparation, assembly, and repair of eyeglasses.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and qualification for the practice of the optical profession
  • Previous experience in the optical field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with precision and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of specialized tools and equipment employed in the optical laboratory
  • Knowledge of production specifications and the ability to follow detailed procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of work
  • Skill in visual inspection and use of measuring instruments to assess the quality of optical products
  • Ability to work independently while also effectively collaborating with laboratory and store staff
  • Punctuality and capability to manage assigned tasks efficiently
  • Good knowledge of basic computer tools and the English language.
