Job Description:

Responsible for the effective operation, changeovers and minor autonomous maintenance within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Lead Op fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively lead the shift functioning as the technical & mechanical expert for the area
  • Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause to correct room issues to minimize down time
  • Responsible for inspection and routine upkeep of machines
  • Document minor machine adjustments and repair processes
  • Share technical knowledge and assist in hands on training to develop employee skills
  • Follow LOTO protocol
  • Perform necessary quality checks for the machine
  • Coordinate communication between maintenance, engineers, quality and production
  • Assist Production Technician/Operator to maintain highest possible OEE
  • Ensure all Manufacturing lines have supplies and resources
  • Ensure and participate in employee AM checklist daily
  • Coordinate production changes overs
  • Issue materials and ensures accurate transactions to Production Orders
  • Assist operators to record production results accurately
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Personnel, Operations, OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA, Environmental policies
  • Escalate any concerns of safety, quality or productions issue
  • Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Any other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Ability to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines
