Job Description:

The Ops Accounting Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role in accounting operations. Requires good knowledge of processes and procedures with basic understanding of underlying concepts. The role involves updating accounting records, preparing financial reports, maintaining statistics, making evaluative judgments, resolving issues, and communicating with diverse audiences while ensuring compliance and risk assessment.

Job Responsibility:

Updates cash and sales book
Post general ledger and accounting entries for an Operations unit
Prepares financial reports
Performs proofs of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
Maintains statistics on volume variation by product for an operational unit
Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information
Resolves issues by identifying and selecting solutions
Communicates with diverse audiences through the exchange of information
Assess risk when business decisions are made
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
Adhere to Policy
Apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices
Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency

Requirements:

Basic experience in an accounting role
Bachelors degree
Good knowledge of processes, procedures and systems
Basic understanding of underlying concepts and principles
Good understanding of team interactions
Ability to make evaluative judgements based on analysis of factual information
Ability to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions
Ability to exchange information in a concise and logical way
Sensitivity to audience diversity
Ability to assess risk when making business decisions
Compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
