Job Responsibility:

  • Performs diagnostic and imaging functions that aid in diagnosing and managing ocular disease
  • Monitors and ensures that all imaging functions are completed accurately, efficiently, and customer-centered within the clinical practice
  • Supports all missions, including clinical, research, and educational initiatives
  • Performs ophthalmic imaging
  • Performs ophthalmic diagnostic testing
  • Participates in human subject studies
  • Participates in non-human studies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Photography or related field and 2 years of experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) upon hire required
  • Certified Optical Coherence Tomography Technician (OCT-C) upon hire required

  • Administers topical eye medications per specific physician order in preparation for testing as permitted by state law and regulation
  • Performs other objective ophthalmic testing and automated image capture, as indicated
  • Makes and cancels Optometry, Ophthalmology, medical clearances and diagnostic appointments
  • Obtains and prepares the appropriate medical information (records, files, forms, diagnostic results) for the provider
  • Records relevant medical information for the provider (i.e., assessments, plans, interventions, and spectacles) completes forms and other necessary data entry
