In accordance with established departmental standards, guidelines, and protocols, assists the medical staff in examining and caring for children with eye problems.
Job Responsibility:
Assists the medical staff in examining and caring for children with eye problems
Performs skilled eye examinations which include, but are not limited to: medical history, age appropriate visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, orthoptics, and instillation of eye drops
Works with clinical staff to insure efficient clinical flow and excellent clinical environments
Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities
Requirements:
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
1 Year of Experience
The ability to multi-task
Knowledge of PC functionality
Strong interpersonal skills
Displays consistent professionalism
1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant or equivalent, working clinically in the back-office setting
Nice to have:
Associate's Degree
Ophthalmic Assistant Certification (JCAHPO)
Previous experience, certification or training on this or similar position is strongly preferred
