Job Responsibility:
Verify steam sterilization schedules and vessel qualifications
Document batch related data on sterilization charts and records. Follow Good Documentation Practices
Monitor and record cycle activity
Load/unload sterilizer trucks to cooling dock
Perform light maintenance duties related to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Assist with calculation for mix time changes to successfully complete a mix time change and communicate to filling
Ensure department is audit ready at all times
Participate in and complete all required training and certifications
Assist in Filling and Packing as needed to meet production goals
Learn, understand and apply meticulous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
Requirements:
High school diploma required
Additional technical training or education a plus
Computer proficiency and ability to use software applications
Ability to work in unfavorable hot and cold temperatures
Ability to step up, bend, and stoop
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift above the shoulders up to 20 pounds repetitively
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
Basic knowledge of quality and safety procedures and regulations a plus
Previous experience in sterilization a plus
Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures
Able to complete documentation legibly and perform basic math
Trained as work saver driver preferred
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must Be able to work weekends
Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037
Audiometric testing and hearing protection required
In a Class I Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
Constant or intermittent exposure to extreme levels of noise
Involves working around equipment, machinery and belts
Requires occasionally working with chemical cleaners and disinfectants
