Job Responsibility

  • Must perform functions for the production of Plastic Pour Bottle Blow Molding (Sidel)
  • Must operate Haumiller Gasket Machine and inspect bottle and gasket assembly
  • Responsible for start-up and readiness of machine and support equipment prior to production
  • Responsible for monitoring equipment and performing minor adjustments during production
  • Must be able to troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical problems on equipment
  • Must be able to perform all duties associated with the operation
  • Understand and ensure all SOPs, GMPs and safety regulations are followed
  • Perform and document line clearances
  • Must verify correctness of material
  • Must perform general housekeeping duties
  • Must complete production documentation associated with the operation and review batch documentation for correctness/completion
  • Communicate effectively with department employees, management, engineering, and maintenance
  • Must train as back-up Production Technician
  • Perform relief duties for other personnel when required, including Production Technician

Requirements

  • High school diploma required. Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus
  • Ability to read, write, count, use calculator and maintenance tools
  • Prior machine operating experience preferred
  • Minor troubleshooting ability preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and/or be trained to do so
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to bend/stoop
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • In a Class I Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
  • Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
  • Involves working around equipment, machinery and belts
  • Requires occasionally working with chemical cleaners and disinfectants
