Job Description:

Chopped and formed process operator - D Shift. This position operates and adjusts all process equipment chopped and formed line for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the production lead or team leader.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operates and adjusts all process equipment chopped and formed line for smooth and productive operations

  • Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork, report to the assigned line, complete walk through and prepare for operations
  • Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear and perform a safety check on equipment
  • Check schedule, work orders and bulk product inventory, take oil, blancher and finished product samples to lab as required
  • Monitor the blancher and fryer, complete walkthrough, take samples, make adjustments, check drains and magnets as required
  • Manually dump and /or scoop ingredients and condiments into hoppers according to recipe and pump oil from fryer as required
  • Keep the work area clear and clean, hose down area, sweep / shovel up spills, empty trash and replace liners
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and wet clean-up as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification required
  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
  • Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
