Job Description:

This position operates, monitors and adjusts the packaging equipment in a manner consistent with safety, food safety, quality, and production standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operates, monitors and adjusts the packaging equipment
  • Monitors Line Sanitation, Ink-jet coder, Bagger operation, Dyna-pack operation, Settlers and Case sealers
  • Performs routine metal detector checks
  • Monitors line flow rates
  • Monitors and adjust vibrators to gain optimum bagger performance
  • Orders packaging material
  • Ensures proper container sizing
  • Records packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime, and fills out reports
  • Responsible for ensuring complete packaging quality of product
  • Complete CIL’s and centerlines
  • Participates in AMD Drumbeats
  • Reworks product when necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification required
  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
  • Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
