Job Description:

As an Operator in Training - Boiler Station initially located at Victoria Mill, you will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar. The aim of this permanent role is to gain valuable job knowledge and become experienced in our operational teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with the Boiler Station and shift teams to keep operations running smoothly and safely
  • Take charge of turbine and auxiliary equipment start-ups and shut-downs—keeping the plant's energy flow in check
  • Manage the vital Bagasse system with precision ensuring smooth, efficient operations at all times
  • Operate and monitor the steam and energy producing plant that keeps our Mills going
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and handle boiler and auxiliary systems, to ensure equipment and plant reliability
  • Actively contribute to work, health and safety standards, from risk assessments to job safety analyses and participation in site safety programs

Requirements:

  • High-Risk Work License for Turbine Operator (TO)
  • Advanced Boiler Operator (BA) certification or willing and able to achieve the competencies
