Experience: Previous experience in a plating or manufacturing environment is advantageous
Familiarity with plating techniques and equipment is a plus
Training: SAP trained within first 30 days
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating plating machinery and understanding of chemical processes involved in plating
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met and to identify any defects in the plating process
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and process discrepancies effectively
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document processes accurately

Job Responsibility

Prepare and clean surfaces of components to be plated, ensuring they are free from contaminants that could affect the plating process
Dry, inspect, and pack parts for production
Safely handle and dispose of chemicals used in the plating process, adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations
Operate and monitor plating equipment, including electroplating and electroless plating systems, to apply metal coatings to various substrates following established SOP
Ensure quality (GMP) and FDA regulatory performance in the department
Complete DHR and SAP paperwork and maintain accurate records
Maintain accurate records of plating processes, including parameters, batch numbers, and inspection results, in compliance with regulatory requirements
Successfully complete training modules and demonstrate proficiency in assigned duties
Introduce and train on Kanban/material movement processes
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to develop and improve plating processes and resolve any issues that arise during production
