Job Responsibility

  • Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met
  • Rotate among stations within work center/department
  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements
  • Work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail
  • Use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
  • Assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production
  • Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain accurate inventory count of completed work
  • Monitor work and ensure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
  • Package component parts or assemblies for shipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred
  • Good mechanical dexterity/eyesight
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed
  • Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25
  • Ability to differentiate between colors
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
  • Ability to work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies
