Job Responsibility:
Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards
rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks
work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements
work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail and use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production
diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies
maintain accurate inventory count of completed work
monitor work and insure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
package component parts or assemblies for shipment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency
1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area
good mechanical dexterity/eyesight
ability to read, write and use basic math
maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
ability to adapt to a changing work environment
ability to work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving
natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25
ability to differentiate between colors
ability to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies
