Job Responsibility

  • Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met
  • rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks
  • work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements
  • work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
  • assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production
  • diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies
  • maintain accurate inventory count of completed work
  • monitor work and insure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
  • package component parts or assemblies for shipment
