Job Responsibility:
Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met
Rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks
Work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements
May work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
Assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed
Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitor work and insure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
Package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency
1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred
Good mechanical dexterity/eyesight
Ability to read, write and use basic math
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
Able to adapt to a changing work environment
Work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities
May be requested to work overtime, as needed
Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors
Be able to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies
