Job Responsibility:

  • Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met
  • Rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks
  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements
  • May work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
  • Assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed
  • Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitor work and insure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
  • Package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred
  • Good mechanical dexterity/eyesight
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
  • Able to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities
  • May be requested to work overtime, as needed
  • Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors
  • Be able to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies
