Job Responsibility:

  • Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met
  • rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks
  • work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets
  • work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail
  • work with simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly
  • assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production
  • diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions
  • maintain accurate inventory count of completed work
  • monitor work and insure requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity
  • package component parts or assemblies for shipment

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency
  • 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred
  • good mechanical dexterity/eyesight
  • ability to read, write and use basic math
  • maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
  • ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • work well with others
  • may be requested to work overtime
  • natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors
  • be able to lift 40lbs
  • work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies
