Job Responsibility

  • Operate the Injectable Packing Machines
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and good documentation practices
  • Troubleshoot packing area equipment
  • Handle machine changeover
  • Ensure machines run smoothly and according to standards
  • Ensure packing activities follow SOP/BPR
  • Check status labels of packing material
  • Ensure status labeling to avoid mix-up
  • Check and verify rejection handling per SOP
  • Ensure GMP norms are followed
  • Train personnel on critical operations
  • Perform cleaning, documentation, area and line clearance, status board updates
  • Ensure machine safety features work properly and PPE use
  • Follow SOP for plant entry/exit
  • Ensure machines get regular preventive maintenance
  • Report maintenance needs to technical department
  • Replace change parts and conduct machine trials
  • Preserve change parts in good condition and check periodically

Requirements

  • To operate the Injectable Packing Machines viz. automatic visual inspection machine, leak test machine, labeling Machine, automatic blister & cartonator machine, checkweigher, Track & trace etc.
  • To strictly adhere to the standard operating Procedures and good documentation practices.
  • Troubleshooting of packing area equipment in co-ordination with Maintenance team.
  • Should have good hands on machine changeover
  • Knowledge of SAP and preparation of Mater Documents like SOP, BPR Complaint handling
  • Should be Familiar with Packing Operations of injectables.
  • Experience on device Operation and Pharma Packaging
  • Sound Knowledge of equipment operation & maintenance.
  • To ensure that machines are working smoothly and performing as per standards.
  • To ensure that the packing activities are being performed as defined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) / Batch Packing Record (BPR).
  • To check the status label of packing material prior to take material in packing line.
  • To ensure status labeling to avoid mix-up.
  • To check & verify the rejection generated during packing are being handled as per SOP.
  • To ensure the GMP norms are followed and maintained throughout the packing.
  • To train personnel for the critical operations like visual inspection and labeling.
  • To perform operations like cleaning of packaging equipment, documentation of area, area clearance, line clearance, Status board update.
  • To ensure safety features of all machine is working properly & peoples are using respective personal protective equipment during operation.
  • To follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) during entry and exit to plant.
  • To ensure that the preventive maintenance of machine is performed regularly and timely.
  • To report to technical department regarding any kind of maintenance work or any requirements of parts well in advance.
  • To do the replacement of change parts and trial of machine within the time line.
  • To preserve the change parts in good condition and check periodically

  • Assure line is set up with proper materials per the Bill of Material (BOM), verify batch documents are correct per filling schedule and documents are maintained inside appropriate batch folder
  • Load and replenish production supplies (i.e. Enhanced Closures, Barcode & Hot Stamp Foil, Bags from Kiefel, Rollstock for Autopouching, Overpouch, stretch wrap, hot melt glue sticks, Sterilizer Trucks, etc.) at a rate consistent with production needs and as needed by use of a powered industrial truck or lift
  • Determine staffing requirements to meet the production schedule and adjust staffing accordingly throughout the shift to meet plant goals
  • Initiate batch and exception documents as required needed
  • Perform production related task per appropriate procedure and verify all entries were documented correctly during your shift
  • Execute Batch/Code changes as well as sublots when assigned
  • Perform required quality checks per appropriate Packing SOP and document results in Assemble Pack or appropriate batch documents
  • Perform equipment Pre-Flight checks and /or Daily Walk-Arounds if applicable
  • Working with the Production Technician 2 and/or maintenance, monitor all line equipment operations to optimize line performance
