Job Description:

The Operator I, Mail Finishing – 2nd Shift is responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces. Joining within and complying with all Bolingbrook operational processes and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines
  • Operating and setting up traditional cutters and folders in bindery
  • Enter data into ERP monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality
  • Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance
  • Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed
  • Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur
  • Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted
  • Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing / bindery operation
  • Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines
  • Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed
  • Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs
  • Other duties as assigned by management
