Requirements

Previous experience in asphalt, quarrying, or a similar heavy plant operation
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with batching/control systems
Awareness and understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Mobile or fixed plant qualifications (Loading Shovel, Telehandler, or similar)
Basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when working independently
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
Flexibility and organization skills
Effective communication and customer focus

Job Responsibility

Operating the asphalt plant in accordance with production schedules and Eurovia Roadstone's quality standards
Monitor, control, and adjust plant settings to ensure consistent production and compliance with mix specifications
Carry out daily plant inspections and ensure all equipment is maintained to safe operating standards
Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs in line with planned maintenance schedules
Load and manage incoming raw materials
Maintain accurate production and stock records, ensuring traceability and compliance with company systems
Liaise with the Quality Control team to ensure that all mixes meet technical and customer requirements
Promote and adhere to Eurovia Roadstone's health, safety, and environmental standards, reporting any incidents or near misses immediately
Support the continuous improvement of site operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Undertake other site duties as required, including mobile plant operation if appropriately trained

Paperwork – To accurately complete all daily record sheets, traffic management sheets, daily plant inspection and defect reports, including any other report sheets, and submit to Chargehand / Foreman on completion
Training – To attend programmed training as and when required
