You'll be working as part of the warehouse operations team, reporting to the inbound operations manager, at the Stores Service Centre in Nottingham. Initially as an operational workstream lead and a liaison between the warehouse operations and logistics project team. You'll be driving the operational process changes required to allow us to revitalise a part our high bay warehouse automation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operational Project Delivery: Lead and support warehouse-focused projects and workstreams
  • such as process improvements, flow redesigns, equipment implementation, and layout changes - ensuring minimal disruption to live operations
  • Engagement and Communication: Work closely with warehouse teams, supervisors, and managers to gather requirements, communicate changes and ensure solutions are practical and effective
  • Planning and Execution: Create clear and realistic plans, timelines, and trackers to ensure delivery of operational workstreams and sub-workstreams on time and within scope
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify challenges early and work with stakeholders to resolve them quickly and effectively
  • Support Change Management: Help embed new ways of working by supporting training, user testing, and go-live support as changes are rolled out in the warehouse
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned, drive root cause analysis where needed, and feed insights into future planning and standards

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in a warehouse or logistics operations environment, with a track record of delivering change or improvement projects
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes, flows, and how operations really work on the ground
  • Ability to work with people at all levels - from operatives to senior managers
  • Comfortable using tools like Excel, Teams, SharePoint
  • Previous experience in supporting or leading projects, ideally in a live operational setting would be advantageous
  • Non-academic qualifications at any level within Prince II or APM would be advantageous
