Job Description

Operations Technician Level 2 performs production operations in accordance with established procedures and specifications. The role supports routine and non-routine manufacturing activities, identifies process issues, and works collaboratively to meet production goals. Candidates will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials both on-site and to various locations, while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibility

  • Shipping and receiving on-site Operations
  • Perform intra-site deliveries, including forklift operation, vehicle loading/unloading, and blocking and bracing
  • Support controlled movement of energetic and chemical materials in accordance with approved procedures
  • Assist with outgoing parcel, bulk, and freight shipments
  • Support kitting and staging for manufacturing and maintenance activities
  • Receive, inspect, stage, store, and issue materials, equipment, and supplies in support of plant operations
  • Maintain organized, compliant storage and work areas
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to get certified to operate forklift and telehandler
  • Must be able eligible for EP to possess explosive materials
  • Proficient with data entry in MES software
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Formal Prior Hazardous Shippers Certification or Training
  • Prior commercial or military hazardous transportation and shipping experience a plus.
