Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the team and undertake the day-to-day management, coordination and development of a large Operations Team to successfully execute customer contracts and meet agreed customer schedules, specifications and cost targets
  • Lead, motivate, and appropriately challenge your team to drive continuous performance improvement against the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide clear direction and ongoing support to team members, ensuring production targets for your area are delivered within agreed timescales
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining required quality standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements
  • Prioritise and allocate both direct and indirect resources effectively to meet business and operational needs
  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities, focusing on cost and time reduction, waste elimination through lean practices, and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping

Requirements:

  • HND/HNC in business studies or equivalent operational experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Effective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong technical and lean practitioner skills to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction
