As second in command of the day's operations team, it is fundamental that you are able to manage the Safe System of Work while overseeing the operators and multiskilled technicians.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the Safe System of Work and supervising the operations team
Documenting all site observations correctly, including adherence to the company's Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System and all relevant legislation
Managing the maintenance management system (CMMS)
Carrying out regular team meetings and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring the plant operates within the EPR environmental permit at all times
Ensuring all planned maintenance is completed and recorded via the CMMS
Inducting and managing your own team as well as external contractors
Issuing Permits to Work and ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to onsite
Requirements:
Previous experience within a recycling, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Strong communication skills and evidence of management duties
Experience monitoring a site with SCADA systems
Strong understanding of health and safety practices
Understanding of the use of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
Hold relevant Safety Qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH)
