Job Description

As an Operations Support Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in providing essential administrative and compliance support to Ipsum’s operational business units as part of the Group Operational Support Team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of support services while completing an approved Business Administration apprenticeship, developing the skills and knowledge needed to begin a successful career in operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Book internal and external training and update company systems
  • Issue tools, equipment, and PPE to operatives and record allocations
  • Input audit and inspection data onto company systems
  • Support general office tasks such as post, stock replenishment, and greeting visitors
  • Scan, print, and upload training, ID, and authorisation documents
  • Maintain and update business and team documentation
  • Keep database information up to date across systems and portals
  • Assist colleagues in the Operations Support Team when needed
  • Complete all study and development required for the apprenticeship

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade 4–9 / A–C or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • SharePoint knowledge (advantage)
  • Previous admin experience (advantage)
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Confident communication across phone, email and Teams
  • Self‑motivated
  • Customer‑focused
  • Comfortable working on own initiative
