Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join a dynamic manufacturing team in San Clemente, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about optimizing operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The role involves overseeing daily production activities, leading a team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve organizational goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage a team of manufacturing technicians and assemblers to meet production targets and ensure smooth operations
  • Develop and implement production schedules and assign tasks to optimize resource utilization
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, address operational challenges, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste
  • Uphold stringent quality control standards throughout all stages of production
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and skill enhancement
  • Conduct performance evaluations, deliver constructive feedback, and address employee concerns to maintain a motivated workforce
  • Maintain detailed production records, including metrics on output, quality, and material usage
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and supply chain, to resolve production challenges and improve processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and waste elimination
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to address production challenges effectively
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
  • Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems and enterprise resource planning software
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities
