Job Description:

Randstad is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for a Building Maintenance Company in Winnipeg. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations within the building maintenance department, ensuring efficient service delivery, and managing team coordination, schedules, and client relations. The ideal candidate is proactive with a background in managing subcontractors, janitorial, or hospitality operations.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This requires driving to approximately 2-3 client sites each day
Serve as the primary contact for client communications, addressing any issues or concerns promptly
Train and mentor maintenance staff, providing ongoing support and development opportunities
Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for senior management
Foster a team environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in supervisory role within janitorial/building maintenance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between buildings in Winnipeg to meet with clients and communicate with on site cleaning staff
Ability to pass a criminal back check
Flexibility with shift times, must be available to check on night crew as needed
