Coates is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor – Portable Buildings to lead a yard team at our Karratha branch. Reporting directly to our Branch Manager, in this role, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring our portable buildings fleet is safely serviced, maintained, and supplied to meet customer and project requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and coaching a small team responsible for the service, overhaul, and repair of portable buildings and associated hire equipment
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with trade practices, standards, and Coates procedures
Providing hands‑on technical support to maximise productivity, quality, and team capability
Planning and coordinating daily work priorities to meet customer, project, and branch needs
Managing the preparation and supply of equipment for project sites, shutdowns, events, installations, and customer-specific requirements
Maintaining accurate records for servicing, compliance, and repairs
Minimising downtime and ensuring all equipment is customer‑ready and site compliant
Requirements:
A relevant trade qualification or experience in building, construction, maintenance, or equipment hire environments
Proven experience in the safe and efficient maintenance, servicing, and repair of equipment
Confidence in providing technical guidance and leadership to improve team outcomes
Strong planning and coordination skills with the ability to prioritise competing requirements
Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance capabilities
