We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to lead our Alexandra schools’ operation. About the Role As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, punctual and efficient delivery of school transport services across the Alexandra contract area. You will oversee daily operations, lead and support drivers, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure all services are delivered in line with contractual, safety and company requirements. This role requires a strong operational mindset, people leadership capability, and a commitment to customer service and safety excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain strong relationships with schools, the Ministry of Education, caregivers and contractors
Ensure customer enquiries and complaints are managed promptly and professionally
Monitor service delivery standards and implement corrective actions where required
Provide clear direction and leadership to drivers and support staff
Ensure services depart on time and operational KPIs are met
Support recruitment, induction and ongoing training of staff
Coach and manage performance, including managing employment relations issues
Ensure sufficient drivers and vehicles are available daily
Coordinate staff rosters and duties to meet service requirements
Support investigations relating to incidents, accidents and performance matters
Manage operational budgets and report on variances
Support purchasing, invoicing and debt processes
Ensure all required administration is completed accurately and on time
Promote a strong safety-first culture across the site
Ensure compliance with Go Bus Health & Safety, ACC AEP and regulatory requirements
Proactively identify and manage hazards, incidents and risks
Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and work practices
Engage with the wider GO Bus and Kinetic management teams
Requirements:
Class 2 licence
P Endorsement
Experience in passenger transport or a similar operational environment
Proven people leadership skills
Strong stakeholder management capability
Ability to manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced setting
